The Red Headed Stranger is headed back to the big screen with longtime friend and collaborator Neil Young. The two beloved musicians will star in a new film that's part musical, part fictional fantasy and part old school western.

Paradox will premiere at the upcoming SXSW film festival in Austin, Texas. Directed by Daryl Hannah, popular actress and Young's girlfriend, Paradox also features Nelson's two sons, Lukas and Micah. Lukas Nelson's band Promise of the Real also perform on the soundtrack for the film.
So what's it all about? So far, the only clue to the film's plotline is the synopsis shared on the SXSW website:
"Time is fluid in this far-fetched, whimsical western tale of music and love. Somewhere in the future past, The Man In the Black Hat hides out between heists at an old stagecoach stop with Jail Time, the Particle Kid, and an odd band of outlaws. Mining the detritus of past civilizations, they wait ... for the Silver Eagle, for the womenfolk, and for the full moon's magic to give rise to the music and make the spirits fly."
Yeah, we're not sure what that means either. But hey, I can't complain about any opportunity to see Willie Nelson and Neil Young together on the silver screen. So far, no dates for a wider release have been announced, but we'll keep you posted.
