Nelson announced the broadcast, titled Willie Nelson's 90th Birthday Celebration, during a Thursday night (Nov. 2) appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
"It is the sincere privilege of our lives to have produced these shows celebrating our beloved Willie, and to partner with CBS to bring this special to fans around the world," shared Mark Rothbaum and Keith Wortman, creators and executive producers, in a press release. "Viewers will now have the chance to sing, and laugh, and cry and experience the joy of this celebration like never before."
The broadcast will be hosted by Jennifer Garner, Chelsea Handler, Woody Harrelson, Ethan Hawke, Helen Mirren and Owen Wilson.
Musical acts that weekend included Nelson, Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Norah Jones, Miranda Lambert, Dave Matthews, Nelson's sons Lukas and Micah Nelson, Keith Richards, George Strait and Chris Stapleton.
For more live streamed Nelson content, watch this weekend's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Nelson will join recent inductee Dolly Parton on the short list of acts in both the country and rock halls of fame. Nelson joked to Colbert that the Rock Hall must've had the wrong number when he got the call.
This year's ceremony airs live tonight (Nov. 3) at 8 PM ET on Disney+. It'll stream on demand afterwards. Carrie Underwood is among the advertised performers.
